Mini Course
For me, one of the gifts of being Trans is the beckoning into molten fluidity, the wild vastness of my multiplicitous spirit, and the calling to explore gender in depth. Both as a concept and on a personal level.
I am proud to be Trans and to be a Radiant Gender Explorer. There is so much glorious, vibrant rejoicing swirls of sacred energy to discover and taste in the realm of gender. I believe Gender Exploration is open to folks of all genders. That’s part of where the magic resides.

Participants
Anyone who is interested in diving into a self-focused exploration of gender. This offering is open to folks of all genders and backgrounds. It will be a course centered around self-exploration and excavation.

Why am I teaching this course?
I’m teaching this course because I think that Gender Exploration and Excavation could benefit EVERYONE! I also believe this kind of deep dive into gender could help create more embodied awareness and empathy for our Trans and Non-Binary community members who face the oppression and violence of the binary nearly everyday. There is so much to gain by stepping into the magic and widening our understanding of gender beyond the binary.
For me, my gender is at the root of who I am. A foundational element of me and my life on this Earth. Exploring it with support and openness helps me understand parts of my sexuality, my genius, my voice, my career, my purpose, the roles I consent to and love as well as the roles that are pushed upon me.
Having a deeper understanding of gender is like seeing the Matrix. It relates to everything, it is part of our essence and experience on this planet in these bodies. So much of our society is gendered and for what? I believe the gender binary is oppressive to EVERYONE! It creates norms, expectations, and roles that cannot possibly be in alignment with the majority of people on Earth. This course is an invitation to gently explore this together.

Gender Sanctuary Course Content
Reacquainting &
Building Our Sanctuary
~ Week 1 ~ Wednesday, June 16th ~
Settle in as we gently put aside what we know and create a space to welcome and embrace what we don’t.
This process begins with introductions, community agreements, and a bit about what we are bringing into the space. We will tenderly look at what we carry around gender to make room for what we would like to discover.
Every week there will be an invitation into practices to do at home. This week I’ll encourage you to begin noticing, naming, collecting, and even building a Gender Altar.

Your Body, Your Spirit
~ Week 2 ~ Wednesday, June 23rd ~
This week we will open with sharing ~ images, thoughts, feelings, stories, connections, textures, and hues that were discovered in your week of noticing, naming, collecting, and altar building.
Then we will explore the power of representation, images, and imaging. We will re-imagine what full, unbridled self expression, esp gender expression could look like. And if you aren’t sure of your gender yet, don’t worry, often we learn through expression. By reclaiming our bodies and their desire to express, we embrace our spirits, cultivating deeper union.
Gender Scapes &
Celebrations!
~ Week 3 ~ Wednesday, June 30th ~
In our third and final week together we journey through gender-scapes. We touch new possibilities and see how gender can be a place of liberation, of expanse.
Then we CELEBRATE in our sacred circle. We celebrate who we are, who we get to be, we celebrate our endless potential and glorious flow. We celebrate what we discovered, saw, embraced, set aside, mourned, birthed. Celebrating is a practice of agency and presence as well as community and ceremony.
Sharing in this together is a magnificent way to close our time in this course and leave our sanctuary, stepping into our lifelong gender experiment if we desire to.

How do you know your gender?
What is gender to you?

What did you find through that experience?
It is my belief that we can never actually know another’s gender. I feel fortunate to know so much about my own. As I mentioned before, for me, gender is at the root of my essence. Intertwined with who I am at my very core, with my Spirit, my whole being. I don’t expect to fully know my own being, much less another’s. This humility, and what I would call “right relationship,” really allows for there to be a flow of curiosity, wonder, and true awe.
Learning about, discovering, and exploring my gender is a blessing and a gift. I am in reverence of my gender. I am blown away by the magic, the grandness, the enormity, the timelessness of my being, and therefore, my gender. And because of that, I often find myself in awe of others’ genders, their gender expressions, their qualities, their beings.
Nature is truly abundant and rooted in variety, so why then wouldn’t we be as well? It is my true desire for this course to thaw the icy, hardened binary enough for us all to catch a glimpse of the fascinating, enchanting glory that swims beneath ~ uncensored gender!
