Celebration Circles
Sacred Celebration is a divine practice of presence, noticing, naming, and practicing agency. Gathering in a circle to Celebrate is a profound act of tending, to ourselves and to our joy.
Ceremony and community sustain us. Joy feeds and nourishes us. Celebration has taught me that no matter what is happening there are glimmers of magic, of hope, of humanity, of wisdom, and of possibility. So long as I notice them, they can uplift and encourage me. Plus naming goodness usually helps us recognize and cultivate more of it.

What are Celebration Circles?
Celebration Circles are gatherings where we celebrate in community!
They start with a guided meditation to ground and come together as a group. We arrive and step into a celebratory space where we are held and protected by our guiding spirits and well, bright ancestors. From there we share ~ we take turns celebrating ourselves, our lives, the highs and lows, our resiliency, our brilliance! As each person speaks, we as a group listen and then celebrate with them freely and vocally. After plenty of celebration, we close our circle by joining together again in a moment of guided meditation and grounding.
I am thrilled to offer these circles because celebration has been a profound life changing practice for me and I love gathering to celebrate in community! The thing I love the most about celebration is that it doesn’t try to erase or color over the tough stuff. It’s not toxic positivity. In celebration, everything is welcome. It’s a practice of embracing.
Why Celebrate?
Celebration is empowering! It’s a practice of claiming our agency to notice, to lean in, to find the pieces and parts WE want to savor. It’s joyous, it’s something you can do anytime anywhere! It can be a noise, an exhale, a twirl, a prayer, a moment of glee.
It can also be a party! A ceremony, a whole community engaging together to rejoice, to consecrate, to commemorate. Celebrating is REVOLUTIONARY! It is timeless and liberating! It can be all encompassing. It can be as small and fleeting or as large and wild as we want! Either way, it is a fantastic way to practice agency, presence, and self tending.
Celebration has taught me these things we label as good and bad can exist side by side. Celebration says life is both/and. Celebration and ceremony can encompass it all! They are big enough and powerful enough to hold whatever is happening.
Celebration is a practice of noticing, of highlighting, calling to attention. It’s taught me that no matter what’s happening, there are glimmers of magic, of hope, of humanity. So come celebrate with me in a sacred circle! Celebrate your accomplishments, your life, your triumphs, your trials. Celebrate waking up, breathing deep, soaking up the sunshine even for 5 min. Celebrate your survival. Celebrate your desire for change, for more, for pleasure in a world that says forget pleasure.
When I look ~ and when I allow myself to look ~ I find that there is so much to celebrate!

Final Thoughts
Celebrating doesn’t ignore or erase all that is wrong or unjust in this world. It fortifies us as we face it. It feeds and nourishes us when we need it most. It roots us in a practice of presence and community, which gives us strength.
It helps us keep our fires lit and tended to. It reminds us of our lineages and birthrights. It brings us back to who we are at our core when so much is trying to get us to forget.

These circles are mighty, revolutionary, a gift ~ created with the intention to notice, name, amplify, and be joyous! The practice of celebration may be simple but wow, it is a magical, surprisingly potent act.
Time bends, selves multiply, bright Ancestors join, portals open and beckon us.
There are rainbow roller coasters, waterfalls, future and little selves, caves, adornment, fresh grass, the Cosmic blanket wrapping around us as we take part in this ancient tradition.
There is so much Queer Joy ~ so much Community Joy.
Life expands and the future seems so close we can taste it. The feast is rich and hearty. We eat slow and fast, feeding each other at times, eating with our fingers. Laughing and tearing up. Twirling. Cheering, whispering encouragement. Actually howling.
So many beautiful hand movements and grounding objects held close as we soar through the cosmic portals, bending time and space to join choirs of ancestors rejoicing.
Joy is our birthright.
Celebration is a revolutionary practice of remembering, being present, and exercising our agency. We get to make noise, use our voices. We get to have joy and celebrate!
We get to gather and support one another.
